The Senior Accountant in a hospital is responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting records, compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting financial decision-making. The role requires strong knowledge of hospital billing, insurance processes, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
Handle hospital billing, patient accounts, and insurance claim reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and audit standards.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Maintain accurate records of hospital expenses, revenue, and departmental budgets.
Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure proper workflow.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory filings (as applicable in India).
Assist management in financial planning and cost control strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
CA Inter / CMA (preferred but not mandatory)
5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup
Strong knowledge of hospital billing systems and insurance processes
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or hospital ERP systems)
Good understanding of taxation (GST, TDS)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and team management skills
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
