Key Responsibilities
• Review US federal and state tax returns prepared by associates and preparers. • Review Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S, including related schedules and Schedule K-1s. • Review supporting workpapers, book-to-tax adjustments, depreciation schedules, and basis calculations. • Identify errors, missing information, compliance gaps, and potential technical issues. • Provide clear review comments and support preparers in resolving them. • Ensure returns comply with applicable US federal and state tax requirements. • Manage assigned engagements, priorities, and filing deadlines. • Coordinate with US-based managers, reviewers, and engagement teams. • Assist with work allocation and monitor team deliverables. • Mentor junior team members on tax concepts, software, and documentation standards. • Support quality-control and process-improvement initiatives. • Provide timely workload and engagement status updates.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. Enrolled Agent, CPA pursuing, CA Inter, or another relevant professional qualification.
Core Skills & Competencies
• 4-6 years of relevant US taxation experience. • At least two completed US tax seasons in a reviewer capacity. • Strong experience reviewing individual and business tax returns. • Good understanding of US federal and state taxation. • Ability to independently manage multiple engagements and deadlines. • Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior team members. • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. • Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
