Job Summary
Sree Gokulam Speed and Safe Courier Service Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and proactive Operation Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily branch operations at our Trivandrum location. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient shipment handling, supervise operational staff, coordinate with various departments, maintain service quality, and ensure smooth execution of all courier operations while meeting company standards and customer expectations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the branch.
- Ensure timely receipt, sorting, dispatch, and delivery of courier consignments.
- Monitor shipment movement and resolve operational bottlenecks promptly.
- Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate with hubs, branches, and transportation teams for seamless parcel movement.
Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise booking executives, sorting staff, loading/unloading teams, and delivery personnel.
- Allocate daily operational tasks and monitor team productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve efficiency.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to operational guidelines.
Shipment & Dispatch Coordination
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipment processing.
- Ensure accurate scanning, documentation, and tracking of all consignments.
- Oversee loading and unloading activities to prevent shipment damage or delays.
- Ensure vehicles are dispatched on schedule with proper documentation.
Service Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Monitor service levels to ensure timely delivery commitments are met.
- Handle escalated customer concerns related to operational issues.
- Coordinate with customer service teams to resolve shipment discrepancies efficiently.
- Implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain accurate operational records, shipment registers, and daily reports.
- Monitor stock of operational materials such as barcode labels, packaging supplies, and stationery.
- Ensure proper documentation for inbound and outbound consignments.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and operational areas.
- Ensure proper handling of fragile, high-value, and priority shipments.
- Report operational incidents and recommend preventive measures.
Performance Monitoring
- Track key operational metrics such as dispatch timelines, delivery performance, shipment accuracy, and productivity.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
