Role Purpose
The Client & Risk Advisory Manager will act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business risks, designing integrated insurance and risk management solutions, and ensuring seamless policy placement and ongoing servicing. The role blends client relationship management, risk assessment, insurance advisory, and coordination with insurers to deliver value-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate and SME clients.
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships by understanding clients’ business models, risk exposures, and growth plans.
- Proactively advise clients on risk mitigation, coverage adequacy, and policy optimization.
- Conduct regular client review meetings and renewal discussions.
Risk Assessment & Advisory
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate operational, financial, liability, and strategic risks faced by clients.
- Conduct risk profiling and gap analysis of existing insurance programs.
- Recommend customized risk transfer and risk mitigation strategies aligned with client needs.
- Support clients with claims advisory, escalation, and settlement coordination.
Insurance Placement & Market Engagement
- Design and structure appropriate insurance programs across lines such as Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Group Health, and Employee Benefits.
- Coordinate with insurers and underwriters for quotations, negotiations, and policy terms.
- Ensure competitive pricing, optimal coverage, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support placement of complex and large-risk accounts
Business Development Support
- Assist in onboarding new clients through presentations, proposals, and risk reports.
- Support cross-selling and up-selling of insurance and risk advisory solutions.
- Contribute to client pitches, RFP responses, and renewal strategies.
Documentation, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure accurate documentation, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
- Maintain compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal governance standards.
- Prepare risk reports, coverage summaries, and MIS for management and clients.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management frameworks
- Client-facing advisory mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related fields
- 5–10 years of experience in insurance broking, corporate insurance, or risk advisory roles
- Relevant certifications (III, AIII, CRM, FRM, etc.) will be an added advantage
- Experience working with corporate / SME clients preferred
