About Us
We are Rakonex, building scalable ERP solutions using the Frappe Framework and ERPNext. We are looking for a passionate Frappe/ERPNext Developer to join our growing team and contribute to custom ERP development, integrations, and business process automation.
You will work closely with the Senior Frappe/ERPNext Developer and collaborate with UI, Mobile App, and Backend developers to build reliable and upgrade-safe ERP solutions.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom ERPNext applications, implementing business logic, and supporting integrations and frontend/mobile requirements. You will report directly to the Senior Frappe/ERPNext Developer and follow established development standards and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Customization & Development
Develop and maintain Custom Apps within the Frappe Framework (v14/v15) while following strict “Upgrade-Safe” development practices without modifying core files.
Write Python business logic, Server Scripts, and Client Scripts to automate workflows and business operations.
- API Development & Integration
Create and maintain secure REST APIs and Custom Whitelisted Methods for Mobile Apps and external frontend systems.
Work under the guidance of the Senior Frappe/ERPNext Developer and coordinate with frontend, mobile, and backend teams for smooth module integration.
Write and optimize MariaDB queries and ensure proper database structure and performance.
- Version Control & Development Workflow
Follow Git-based workflows, maintain proper code structure, and adhere to development standards and documentation practices.
- Deployment & Server Support
Assist in deployment, troubleshooting, backups, and server maintenance on Linux/Ubuntu environments.
Required Skills & Experience
1.5+ Years of hands-on experience with Frappe Framework & ERPNext
3+ Years of total experience in Python Backend Development
Strong understanding of the Frappe Framework including:
DocTypes
Hooks
Server Scripts
Client Scripts
Custom Apps
Strong proficiency in Python
Good knowledge of JavaScript for Frappe Desk customization
Experience with REST APIs and integrations
Good working knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL including query writing and optimization.
Experience with:
Frappe Bench CLI
Git Version Control
Linux/Ubuntu Server Environment
Redis and background jobs (basic understanding preferred)
Understanding of clean coding practices and commitment to avoiding “core hacks.”
