ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. This is a high-impact role that spans books closure, audit management, internal controls, and process improvement — ideal for someone who has built strong foundations at a consulting firm (Big 4) and is ready to drive real outcomes on the industry side.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end Books & Accounts closure on a monthly and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate and support statutory and internal audit processes; act as the primary liaison with auditors
- Design, execute, and document internal control testing as part of ongoing control assurance frameworks
- Identify gaps in existing financial processes and lead process improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Prepare MIS reports, financial schedules, and management packs using advanced Excel models
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements, including disclosures and filings as needed
- Liaise with Statutory and Tax auditors on an ongoing basis; support management in timely audit closure and resolution of audit queries
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE — MUST HAVE
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience
- Prior experience at a consulting or professional services firm
- Hands-on experience in books closure, statutory audit, control testing, and process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE — PREFERRED
- IPO-related experience (candidates with this background will be given preference during shortlisting)
- Background from a Big 4 firm
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Advanced Excel — Advanced Excel — pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modelling; proficiency is non-negotiable
- Communication — Clear and confident written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical Thinking — Strong numerical aptitude with a structured approach to problem-solving
- Attention to Detail — High accuracy and accountability in financial reporting and control documentation
- Team Collaboration — Comfortable working across functions and contributing positively to a team environment
- Ownership Mindset — Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable taking initiative without constant supervision
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
