Role description
Architect responsible for designing the device identification architecture used in fraud detection systems. The role focuses on defining how device signals are collected, processed, and utilised to identify devices across sessions in modern environments where traditional mechanisms (e.g., cookies) are limited. Tech Stack - Java with Azure
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture Definition
Define the overall architecture for Device identification and recognition systems, Signal ingestion and processing pipelines
Design systems that Handle multiple devices per user, Manage multiple identifiers (e.g., cookies) over time
2. Signal-Based Device Identification
Architect solutions to collect and use device and browser signals
Standardise signals across different sources (mobile SDK and browser)
Ensure the system differentiates between high-quality and low-quality signals, uses appropriate handling for each type
3. Backend & Data Architecture
Design backend systems to process large volumes of device-related data
Maintain relationships between devices, sessions, and identifiers
Define structures required to track users across multiple sessions and environments
4. Device Identification Logic
Define the architectural approach for Determining whether two device instances are the same
Comparing signals to derive device identity
5. Cloud Architecture (Azure)
Design solutions to be deployed in:Azure cloud environment
Define scalable cloud-based architecture and Integration of backend services within cloud
6. Integration with Broader Platform
Ensure device identification integrates with Mobile SDK (data collection layer), Backend fraud detection systems
Align architecture with end-to-end fraud detection workflows
7. Cross-Domain Understanding
Provide architectural direction across Browser technologies, Mobile ecosystems, Backend systems and cloud platforms
