Job Summary:
We are seeking a Laser Machine Operator with knowledge or basic experience in operating laser cutting machines to join our manufacturing team on a 3-year contract basis. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain laser cutting equipment while supporting automated and robotic production systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate laser cutting machines to cut and process metal or other materials according to technical drawings and production specifications.
- Support integration and operation of robotic automation systems associated with laser cutting processes.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and production plans.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper handling of laser equipment.
- Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Maintain production logs and report equipment issues or process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment optimization and automation improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Training or basic experience in laser cutting machines or similar fabrication equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotic arms used in automated cutting or material handling.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and machine diagnostics.
- Experience in sheet metal or precision manufacturing environments.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 3 Years
- Employment Type: Contract
- Work Schedule: Shift / Day / Rotational
- Compensation: 3-months’ probation at 18,000 / month and Rs. 25,000 / month for rest of the contract period
