Job Summary
The Interior Site In-Charge is responsible for the day-to-day execution and supervision of interior fit-out and turnkey projects at the site. The role involves coordinating manpower, subcontractors, vendors, and materials while ensuring that work is executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, project timelines, and safety regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution
- Supervise and execute all interior fit-out works as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure daily work is completed according to the project schedule.
- Coordinate civil, gypsum, carpentry, painting, flooring, ceiling, glazing, metal, stone, and finishing works.
- Monitor MEP coordination with interior activities.
Site Supervision
- Supervise subcontractors, skilled workers, and labor teams.
- Allocate daily work targets and monitor productivity.
- Ensure proper sequencing of activities to avoid delays.
- Maintain discipline and smooth workflow at the project site.
Quality Control
- Ensure workmanship complies with project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of ongoing works.
- Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
- Coordinate snag rectification before project handover.
Material Management
- Monitor receipt and consumption of materials.
- Verify delivered materials against purchase orders and specifications.
- Prevent material wastage and ensure proper storage at site.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material requirements.
Coordination
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, architects, consultants, clients, and MEP teams.
- Resolve site-level execution issues promptly.
- Attend site meetings and implement instructions received.
Documentation
- Maintain daily site progress reports.
- Record manpower deployment and work progress.
- Prepare material requirement reports.
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, and work completion records.
- Report site issues, delays, and technical concerns to the Project Manager.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote safe working practices among workers and subcontractors.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping at the project site.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
Handover Support
- Assist in final inspections and snag clearance.
- Ensure all punch-list items are completed before handover.
- Support documentation required for project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in interior fit-out or turnkey contracting projects.
- Experience in commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, or corporate interior projects is preferred.
