Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the hotel's sales strategy to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. The role focuses on driving room revenue, banquet and event sales, corporate business, and long-term client relationships while leading the sales team to achieve budgeted targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hotel's annual sales and marketing strategy.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual room revenue and banquet revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities across Corporate, MICE, Travel Trade, Government, Airline, and Leisure segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, travel agents, event planners, and business partners.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Prepare and monitor sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, hotel presentations, and site inspections.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements with key clients.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, occupancy, and RevPAR.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and brand visibility initiatives.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, Banquets, and F&B departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to identify business opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, exhibitions, and industry associations.
- Maintain accurate sales reports, CRM updates, and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in luxury or reputed 5-star hotels.
- Currently working as a Director of Sales in a luxury or reputed 5-star hotel is mandatory.
- Proven track record in revenue generation, business development, and strategic sales leadership.
- Experience in South India market will be preferred.

- Experience working in a luxury or reputed 5-star hotel.
- Strong corporate and MICE business network.
- Knowledge of Coimbatore and South India hospitality market.
- Proficiency in Tamil and English is preferred.
