- Core Duties:
- Greet guests, present menus, and explain daily specials.
- Take precise food and beverage orders using a POS (Point of Sale) system or notepad.
- Communicate special dietary requests or allergies clearly to kitchen staff.
- Serve meals and drinks in a timely manner and check on guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
- Clear dirty plates, reset tables, and maintain a clean dining environment.
- Deliver bills, process cash or card payments, and handle change.
A resto-bar server handles all standard restaurant duties while managing a heavier focus on alcoholic beverage service, fast-paced bar coordination, and age verification.
- Core Duties:
- Check customer IDs to verify legal drinking age before serving alcohol.
- Take complex drink orders, coordinate with bartenders, and serve beers, wines, and cocktails.
- Upsell high-margin alcoholic beverages, specialty craft drinks, and bar appetizers.
- Manage high-energy, loud, and fast-paced environments while keeping aisles and tables safe and clear.
- Maintain rapid table turnover during peak night hours or social events.
- Monitor patron behavior and communicate potential over-consumption issues safely to management.
