Job Summary:
The General Surgeon is responsible for evaluating patients, diagnosing surgical conditions, performing surgical procedures, and providing preoperative and postoperative care. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to clinical and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and evaluate patients with surgical conditions.
- Determine the need for surgical intervention and explain treatment options to patients and families.
- Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Manage preoperative assessments and obtain informed consent.
- Provide postoperative care, monitor recovery, and manage complications.
- Coordinate patient care with anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Respond to emergency surgical cases and trauma patients as required.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students (where applicable).
- Participate in continuing medical education and stay current with advances in surgical practice.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Completion of a recognized residency/training program in General Surgery.
- Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in General Surgery.
- Valid medical license and registration.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
