About Imex Homes
Imex Homes is a bespoke furniture and luxury interior design studio based in Kirti Nagar, New Delhi. We design and build custom wardrobes, vanities, wall panellings, and complete residential interiors — all made to client brief. No catalogue products, no shortcuts. Every piece is designed, quoted, and executed in-house.
We are growing and need a senior hand who has been in this industry long enough to not need handholding.
What This Role Is
This is not a junior role dressed up as senior. You will own the full journey — from understanding a client brief to delivering production-ready drawings, accurate BOQs, and client-facing quotations independently. You will also be a reference point for our junior design team.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare design drawings and elevations for custom wardrobes, vanities, wall panelling, and furniture — from concept to production-ready
- Build detailed, accurate BOQs covering materials, hardware, glass, polish, and site work
- Create itemised client quotations in Excel — formatted and ready to share directly
- Present designs and quotations to clients and handle revision cycles independently
- Coordinate with factory and site teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
- Mentor junior designers and interns on design and BOQ process
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bespoke furniture or luxury interior design — non-negotiable
- Hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD — mandatory. SketchUp or 3ds Max is a strong plus
- Has personally prepared BOQs and client quotations, not just assisted
- Strong Excel skills — formulas, structured pricing sheets, client-ready formatting
- Deep material knowledge — HDHMR, plywood grades, laminates, Hettich/Hafele hardware, glass specifications, PU/duco finishes
- Confident in client-facing communication — able to present and close quotations
Good to Have
- Prior experience specifically with wardrobes, vanities, or wall panelling projects
- Experience managing or mentoring a junior design team
- Ability to cross-check BOQ against site measurements independently
- Knowledge of finishing — lacquer, PU, duco, veneer, HPL laminates
