Job Title: Interior Designer (2 Years Experience)
Job Summary:
Seeking a creative and technically proficient Interior Designer with ~2 years of professional experience. Candidate will develop residential and/or commercial interior schemes, produce detailed 2D documentation and 3D visualizations, coordinate with clients and consultants, and support project delivery from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, space plans and material/finish schedules.
- Produce accurate 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) for client review and for contractors.
- Create photorealistic 3D models and renderings to communicate design intent.
- Prepare specifications, FF&E lists, cost estimates and procurement support.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure constructability and design intent.
- Revise drawings and visuals based on feedback and site conditions.
- Support site visits, take measurements, oversee installation and resolve on-site issues.
- Maintain project documentation, schedules and version control.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years professional experience in interior design (residential, hospitality, retail or commercial).
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating 2D documentation and 3D visualization work.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent for 2D drafting.
- Skilled in 3D modeling/rendering tools (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max, Blender, Rhino) and rendering engines (V-Ray, Corona, Enscape, Twinmotion).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of Revit (BIM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong visual sensibility, attention to detail and problem-solving.
- Good communication and client presentation skills.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and work within budgets and deadlines.
- Team player with ability to take direction and work independently.
Desired Extras:
- Experience in FF&E sourcing and vendor negotiation.
- Knowledge of local building codes and construction detailing.
- Basic understanding of lighting design and MEP coordination.
