About the Role
SolidCAM is looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer (CNC Monitoring) to implement and support SolidShop, our CNC monitoring and manufacturing digitalization solution. In this role, you will work closely with customers to connect CNC machines, configure machine monitoring, support software deployments, and integrate shop-floor data with manufacturing systems.
We do not expect prior experience with SolidShop / CIMCO software — training, guidance, and support will be provided
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and deploy SolidShop at customer sites.
- Connect CNC machines to the SolidShop server and configure DNC communication.
- Configure machine monitoring, production data collection, and shop-floor connectivity.
- Troubleshoot machine communication, networking, and software issues.
- Integrate SolidShop with ERP/MES systems where required.
- Train customers and operators on system usage and best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, implementation reports, and project handover documents.
- Provide post-implementation technical support and work closely with internal teams to ensure successful deployments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in CNC applications, CAM software, DNC systems, manufacturing automation, or industrial automation.
- Good understanding of CNC machines and controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mitsubishi, Mazak, Okuma, or similar.
- Experience with DNC communication, CNC program transfer, and machine connectivity.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as MTConnect, OPC UA, Modbus, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and database concepts.
- Good understanding of Ethernet networking, TCP/IP, switches, routers, Windows Server/Windows administration, and RS-232 serial communication.
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge using PowerShell, Python, or C# will be an advantage.
- Experience with SolidCAM or any other CAD/CAM software is preferred.
- Experience with FactoryWiz, CIMCO, SolidShop, or any other CNC monitoring software is an added advantage.
Manufacturing Knowledge
Candidates should have a good understanding of:
- CNC machining processes
- Milling, Turning, and Multi-axis machining
- Tool management
- Production planning
- Lean Manufacturing principles
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Shop-floor automation and manufacturing workflows
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- CNC machine commissioning
- Manufacturing software implementation
- Industrial networking
- MES or SCADA systems
- Customer-facing implementation and technical support
Education
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics & Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
