About the Internship
We are looking for a Sales Intern to join our retail team in Kolkata.
This is a hands-on internship where you will learn and gain practical experience in retail sales, customer interaction, jewellery presentation, product knowledge, communication and store operations.
Based on performance, this internship may lead to a full-time Sales Executive role at Savera. Interns who demonstrate strong performance, customer-handling skills, communication, discipline and overall suitability for the role may be offered a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Interaction & Sales
- Welcome customers warmly and professionally.
- Understand customer preferences, requirements, occasions and budget.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable jewellery pieces.
- Explain product features, materials, design and care instructions clearly.
- Provide personalized styling suggestions.
- Build a comfortable and positive customer experience.
- Assist in converting store walk-ins into purchases.
- Support upselling and cross-selling where appropriate.
- Handle customer questions and basic objections professionally.
- Assist with customer follow-ups and relationship building.
2. Product & Brand Knowledge
- Learn about Savera's brand philosophy, collections and design language.
- Develop knowledge of jewellery materials, purity, craftsmanship and product features.
- Learn about different jewellery categories and collections.
- Stay updated on new products and launches.
- Develop the ability to confidently explain products to customers.
3. Communication & Professional Grooming
- Maintain clear, polite and professional communication with customers.
- Practice active listening and understand customer needs.
- Develop confidence in customer-facing conversations.
- Maintain appropriate professional body language.
- Follow Savera's grooming and presentation standards.
- Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance.
4. Store Operations
- Assist with maintaining store cleanliness and presentation.
- Support visual merchandising and product displays.
- Assist with stock checks, tagging and product organization.
- Handle jewellery carefully and responsibly.
- Assist with billing, packaging and other store activities.
- Follow store procedures and safety guidelines.
5. Learning & Performance
- Participate actively in training and role-play sessions.
- Take feedback positively and work on areas of improvement.
- Learn and apply sales techniques taught during training.
- Support the store team in achieving sales goals.
- Maintain punctuality, attendance and professional discipline.
Requirements
- Minimum 12th pass.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Good communication skills in Hindi, Bengali and English.
- Warm, confident and customer-friendly personality.
- Good grooming and professional presentation.
- Interest in jewellery, fashion or lifestyle products.
- Willingness to learn and interact with customers.
- Responsible, punctual and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable working in a retail environment.
- Willing to work on weekends and during festive periods.
