We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Content Manager – English News to lead our editorial team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and engaging news content across digital platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong editorial judgment, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced newsroom while maintaining journalistic integrity
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the English news editorial team.
- Plan, assign, edit, and publish news stories across digital platforms.
- Ensure news content is accurate, timely, unbiased, and compliant with editorial guidelines.
- Monitor breaking news and coordinate rapid content production.
- Develop daily and long-term content strategies to increase audience engagement.
- Mentor and guide reporters, copy editors, and content writers.
- Collaborate with video, social media, SEO, and design teams to maximize content reach.
- Review headlines, captions, and multimedia content before publication.
- Analyze website traffic and audience insights to improve content performance.
- Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and company editorial standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in English news media, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent English editing, rewriting & proofreading skills
- Ability to edit scripts, website articles, headlines, subtitles, and social media content
- Strong grammar, accuracy, and news sense
- Ability to handle breaking news and tight deadlines
- Basic knowledge of digital newsroom, CMS, SEO, and social media trends preferred
