Infection Control Nurse (ICN)
Job Summary
Responsible for preventing and controlling healthcare-associated infections by implementing infection prevention policies, conducting surveillance, educating staff, and ensuring compliance with national and hospital infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and report hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
· Conduct infection surveillance and analyze infection trends.
· Develop, implement, and update infection prevention and control (IPC) policies.
· Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, isolation precautions, sterilization, and disinfection protocols.
· Perform infection control audits and inspections in all hospital departments.
· Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
· Educate and train healthcare workers on infection prevention practices.
· Monitor antibiotic stewardship activities in collaboration with clinicians and pharmacists.
· Participate in infection control committee meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
· Prepare monthly and annual infection control reports.
· Ensure proper biomedical waste management according to applicable regulations.
· Coordinate with microbiology, nursing, housekeeping, and other departments to maintain infection prevention standards.
Qualifications
· B.Sc. Nursing or GNM with required registration (requirements vary by employer).
· Certification or specialized training in Infection Prevention and Control is preferred.
· Experience in clinical nursing or infection control is often preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
