The position is a part of the Global Consulting Services (GCS) Global Sales pillar which aligns its priorities with the overall GCS strategy, and with stretch collaboration with Green-Dot and GCS Senior Leaders (CEOs, COOs, CCOs) in Global and Member Firms, and Growth Leaders.
Overview of the role
The professional will be a key member of the GCS Global Sales - Analytics and Insights team, responsible for translating business and operational data into clear, actionable dashboards, metrics, and executive-ready narratives/insights. The role partners closely with managers, senior managers, and business stakeholders to improve process performance through analytics, visualization, automation, and repeatable reporting practices.
This role requires strong hands-on experience with BI tools, SQL, data engineering fundamentals, and process improvement methods. The professional is expected to move beyond reporting execution by shaping KPI design, identifying root causes, recommending improvements, and strengthening BI governance and adoption across stakeholders.
Work you’ll do
The professional will own high-impact analytics workstreams from problem framing through delivery, working closely with colleagues in India and senior leaders across the Global Consulting Services organization. The professional will develop a strong understanding of Consulting Services businesses, strategic priorities, sales performance drivers, and operational processes to convert data into actionable insights and measurable business outcomes. The professional will support stakeholders by extracting, cleaning, and analysing data to uncover meaningful business insights. The professional will own deliverables by leveraging data, information, and insights, demonstrating solid analytical, storyboarding, and business writing skills. Additionally, the professional will develop compelling narratives with clear recommendations based on thorough research and analysis. The role requires strong analytical judgment, consultative communication, storyboarding, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, cross-geography environments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead analytics workstreams by defining business questions, success measures, data requirements, analysis approach, and stakeholder-ready outputs.
- Create executive-level deliverables including PowerPoint decks, Excel reports, Tableau or Power BI dashboards, and concise insight summaries for senior leadership.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, risks, opportunities, and performance variances; synthesize findings into clear recommendations.
- Develop KPI frameworks, metric definitions, reporting views, and process performance trackers aligned to business priorities.
- Use SQL, Excel, Python, or ETL tools to query, transform, validate, and reconcile data from multiple operational sources.
- Build, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards with strong attention to usability, refresh reliability, performance, documentation, and adoption.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and partner with stakeholders to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Establish lightweight governance for dashboards and recurring reports, including version control, access standards, refresh cadence, definitions, and quality checks.
- Support stakeholder meetings by translating analytical findings into business-friendly narratives, implications, and decision options.
- Actively share best practices across Global, US, and India team members; coach junior team members on analysis, visualization, and storyboarding standards.
- Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with Global and US colleagues while managing sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Report/work under the leadership of the Senior Manager/Manager, US/USI, while independently owning defined deliverables and workstream outcomes
Requisite core skills
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and structured problem-framing skills.
- Strong consulting toolkit: research, data analysis, logical structuring, storyboarding, executive communication, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong BI expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent tools, including dashboard design, performance optimization, and user-centered reporting experiences.
- Strong SQL capability, including joins, aggregations, data validation, data modeling concepts, and repeatable reporting datasets.
- Working knowledge of Python, ETL tools, automation, or data workflow orchestration is preferred.
- Ability to convert complex data findings into crisp business narratives, recommendations, and stakeholder-ready materials.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to manage expectations, ask the right business questions, and influence decisions with data.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, aggressive timelines, cross-geography stakeholders, and ambiguous requirements.
- Attention to detail, responsiveness, ownership mindset, and a strong track record of delivering high-impact initiatives.
- Ability to integrate large datasets and stakeholder perspectives into meaningful insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
- Comfort working in co-located and virtual teams across different cultures, communication styles, and time zones.
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.
- Academic qualification: Master’s Degree, preferably MBA
- Work experience: 6+ years, with at least 4 years of post-MBA experience
- Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with consulting firms or in corporate strategy
- Location: Hyderabad
- Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)
- Working from office: The individual is expected to come to office at least 2 days a week as per the ‘work from office’ schedule
