GM – Finance & Accounts
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly accomplished and result-oriented Finance Professionals to lead the Finance & Accounts function. The ideal candidate will possess 18–20 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, taxation, audit, budgeting, financial planning, compliance, and team leadership. The incumbent should have at least 10 years of leadership experience managing finance teams and driving strategic financial initiatives.
The GM – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, effective internal controls, business partnering, and supporting organizational growth through sound financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Lead the overall Finance & Accounts operations of the organization.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable accounting regulations.
- Prepare and present MIS reports, profitability analysis, and management dashboards.
- Develop financial models to support strategic business decisions.
- Strengthen financial reporting systems and improve reporting accuracy.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Transfer Pricing (where applicable), and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate tax assessments, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and government authorities.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Lead annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Monitor departmental budgets and cost optimization initiatives.
- Conduct profitability and cost analysis across business units and laboratories.
- Recommend measures to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Strengthen financial governance and internal control frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching and performance management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
Strategic Business Support
- Partner with senior leadership in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, business expansion, and financial due diligence when required.
- Provide financial insights to improve business profitability and operational excellence.
Educational Qualification
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- Additional qualification such as MBA (Finance), CMA, or CFA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 18–20 years of post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience managing finance teams.
- Experience in Testing, Inspection, Analytical Laboratories, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Engineering Services, or related industries will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.

- Experience in managing multiple business units or laboratory operations will be an advantage.
- High level of analytical ability, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
