Job Title: Bodyshop Manager
Industry: Automobile Dealership
Location: Ambattur, Arumbakkam, Vadapalani, and Nandambakkam
Experience Required: Minimum 8 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete operations of the Bodyshop, ensuring efficient repair processes and timely vehicle delivery.
- Manage and lead the Bodyshop team, including Bodyshop Advisors, Denting & Painting Technicians, Estimators, and Support Staff.
- Ensure all repair work is carried out in accordance with OEM quality standards and dealership guidelines.
- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and revenue while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Review and approve repair estimates, insurance assessments, work orders, and final invoices.
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors and companies for claim approvals and smooth claim settlements.
- Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of spare parts required for repairs.
- Monitor job progress and ensure vehicles are delivered within the committed turnaround time.
- Handle customer escalations related to body repairs and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
- Track Bodyshop KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, labor utilization, revenue, insurance conversion, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with dealership processes, OEM standards, workplace safety, and statutory regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and MIS reports.
- Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the Bodyshop team to improve technical competency and service quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in an Automobile Dealership Bodyshop, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Bodyshop operations, insurance claim processing, denting & painting, repair estimation, and workshop management.
- Strong knowledge of OEM Bodyshop standards and dealership operations.
- Excellent leadership, customer handling, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to achieve operational, quality, and revenue targets while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
