The Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital products and platforms to our clients.
You will work at the intersection of business needs, product strategy, user experience, and engineering. Your role will be to turn complex business needs into clear tasks, structured delivery plans, and actionable specifications for design and engineering teams.
This is a hands-on product leadership role for someone who can independently drive clarity in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environment. You should be comfortable working with business stakeholders, product designers, engineers, QA, DevOps, and client teams across different markets and time zones (CET and ET).
You do not need to code, but you do need to be technically credible. You should be comfortable discussing APIs, backend services, cloud architecture, mobile apps, third-party integrations, data flows, and scalable product systems with engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Own product discovery and delivery - Lead product work from early understanding and requirements gathering through prioritization, specification, delivery, testing, and release.
- Translate complexity into clarity - Work with stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, technical constraints, and operational requirements, then turn them into clear product documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
- Shape product roadmaps - Create and maintain product roadmaps that balance business value, user impact, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity.
- Work closely with engineering teams - Partner with backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps, QA, and AI engineers to define requirements, clarify scope, resolve dependencies, and support high-quality delivery.
- Support API and integration planning - Collaborate with technical leads on API contracts, third-party integrations, system workflows, data exchange, and platform architecture decisions.
- Coordinate cross-platform delivery - Manage product work across web applications, mobile apps, admin systems, backend services, dashboards, and external systems.
- Manage stakeholders - Act as the key bridge between client-side stakeholders and Afternow’s product, design, and engineering teams. Lead product discussions, clarify expectations, manage scope, and support decision-making.
- Own backlog quality - Keep the backlog clear, structured, prioritized, and ready for execution. Make sure teams understand the why, what, and expected outcome behind every initiative.
- Support scalable product thinking - Help shape products that can grow across markets, user groups, integrations, and business needs.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in Technical Product Management - You have experience shipping complex B2B software, SaaS platforms, digital products, or integration-heavy systems.
- Bilingual communication - Professional fluency in Spanish and English is non-negotiable. You will work with Spanish-speaking stakeholders and English-speaking design and engineering teams.
- Platform thinking - You understand how to work on products with multiple user groups, permissions, workflows, integrations, and business rules.
- Comfort with ambiguity - You can take ownership, bring structure, reduce uncertainty, and move work forward without needing every detail defined upfront.
- Remote work maturity - You are organized, proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong communication skills - You can explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Modern product delivery experience - You are familiar with agile delivery, discovery, roadmap planning, backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, release planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with complex domains - Experience in fintech, commerce, SaaS, marketplaces, logistics, ERP, POS, supply chain, retail tech, or similar domains is a strong advantage.
- Strong technical understanding - You are comfortable discussing APIs, backend services, mobile app flows, cloud-based systems, data models, third-party integrations, and scalable architectures with engineers.
What To Expect
- Flexibility - We have standard 40-hour work weeks. While our agency's working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm CET, you’ll have the freedom to work flexible hours and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Just make sure the majority of your working hours fall within that time frame.
- Remote work & Tooling - We operate as a fully remote team. We utilize HubStaff for time tracking and work transparency. We value trust and output, and these tools help us streamline administrative overhead.
- Culture - We value collaboration, openness, a willingness to learn, lead, and a curious nature. Our approach encourages mistakes as long as we are willing to learn from them, fostering a culture where growth comes from understanding and overcoming challenges.
- Autonomy and responsibility – You’ll be trusted to get things done efficiently and effectively.
Hiring Process
- Application review - We’ll review your experience, background, and overall fit for the role.
- Video Call with HR - Initial conversation about fit, availability, and expectations
- Second interview with Leadership - If there is a strong match after the first conversation, we’ll invite you to a second interview with the Leadership team. This discussion will focus primarily on cultural fit, ownership, communication, and the way you approach collaboration and problem-solving. We may also revisit a few technical topics if anything needs additional clarification.
Afternow is an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse teams build better products and create better experiences. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
