Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook continental dishes according to standard recipes.
- Handle mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Assist the CDP in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Operate and oversee an assigned kitchen section during service.
- Monitor food safety standards, including FIFO and HACCP procedures.
- Control food wastage and maintain portion control.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory management, and ingredient storage.
- Train, guide, and supervise Commis chefs when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of continental cuisine.
- Experience with sauces, grills, pasta, soups, salads, and plating techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic leadership and team-handling abilities.
