Lead Perception Engineer
Location: Bengaluru (On-site) | 5-day work week
Compensation: ₹40–60 LPA (Cash) + ₹0–20 LPA (ESOPs) — stretchable for exceptional candidates
About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Perception Engineer to lead a team of 4–5 engineers building the sensing and perception stack that allows our robots to understand and operate safely in complex, unstructured construction environments. This is a hybrid managerial + individual contributor role combining hands-on sensor engineering with team leadership.
Must-Haves
- Minimum 5–8 years of industry experience
- Working experience with cameras and LiDARs is a must
- Working experience and knowledge of calibration and ROS2 is a must
- Knowledge/experience in AI model training is good to have
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 perception engineers, owning the technical roadmap for sensing and perception
- Design and implement multi-sensor perception pipelines using cameras and LiDARs
- Own sensor calibration workflows and build robust perception modules on ROS2
- Collaborate with AI and robotics teams to integrate perception outputs into navigation, manipulation, and autonomy stacks
- Validate perception system performance across real-world, on-site construction environments
- Stay hands-on with implementation and debugging while driving the team's technical direction
Pay: ₹4,000,000.00 - ₹6,000,000.00 per year
