Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) as per standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and control flow rates, pH levels, TDS, COD, BOD, and other process parameters.
- Handle chemical dosing and maintain chemical inventory for STP.
- Record and maintain daily operational logs and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Perform routine checks and ensure preventive maintenance of STP equipment like pumps, blowers, aerators, filters, etc.
- Ensure proper sludge disposal and coordinate with vendors if required.
- Comply with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Support in online pollution control board portal data entry and maintaining compliance documents.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to STP operations.
Key Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience in STP operations (aerobic//biological/systems)
- Knowledge of pollution control norms and STP functioning
- Basic knowledge of handling chemicals safely
- Ability to identify faults in equipment and initiate corrective action
- Record-keeping and report generation skills
