Role Overview
The Academic Assistant plays a pivotal role in driving student success, maintaining operational excellence, and fostering a disciplined yet supportive learning environment. This role combines student mentorship with robust administrative coordination, ensuring seamless daily operations between students, faculty, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Mentorship & Academic Support
Goal-Oriented Mentoring: Guide and motivate students to achieve their specific learning objectives and elevate their academic performance.
Engagement: Cultivate a genuine interest in core academics and co-curricular learning activities.
Professional Relationship Management: Build trust and mutual respect with students while maintaining strict professional boundaries.
Empowerment: Guide students to take proactive ownership of their learning journeys and career development.
2. Daily Academic & Operations Management
Attendance & Tracking: Verify student profiles for class admission, maintain precise attendance logs, and proactively flag irregularities to the academic, administration, and accounts teams.
Classroom Readiness: Set up classrooms and prep learning materials ahead of sessions, ensuring faculty members have a conducive environment.
Asset Management: Oversee the proper functioning, storage, and distribution of center assets (iPads, microphones, projectors, Apple TVs, etc.).
Portion Book Oversight: Maintain accurate syllabus logs, lesson plans, and assignment schedules. Ensure classes progress according to the academic calendar and report any discrepancies to the academic team.
3. Examination & Feedback Coordination
Exam Administration: Coordinate, invigilate, and manage logistics for internal exams while strictly adhering to examination integrity guidelines.
Result Management: Collect exam papers, facilitate timely grading, maintain performance records, and publish results.
Feedback Loops: Periodically gather and analyze student feedback regarding teaching quality and center satisfaction, collaborating with management to implement enhancements.
4. Communication & Student Welfare
Query Resolution: Act as the primary touchpoint for student inquiries, addressing academic doubts and course selections promptly.
Absenteeism Follow-up: Actively track continuously absent students and connect with parents/guardians to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Information Dissemination: Ensure timely posting of timetables, schedules, and official academic announcements across student community channels.
5. Fee Collection & Financial Compliance
Reminders: Proactively notify students and parents of upcoming fee due dates.
Transaction Handling: Collect and record payments, issue official receipts, and update internal registers accurately.
Verification: Validate dynamic student discounts/offers and immediately report any financial mismatches.
Reconciliation: Hand over collected cash/cheques to the Accounts department daily with proper documentation and report on pending fee defaulters.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education & Eligibility: Candidates must ideally be placed/listed in a verified Government Exam Rank List (or have a proven track record of clearing competitive government exam stages).
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort handling basic classroom technology (iPads, projectors, AV equipment) and maintaining digital databases.
- Attributes: Highly organized, empathetic, disciplined, and capable of maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
