Finance Manager/ Finance Head
The purpose of this role is to establish and lead the finance function for our new Chennai-based operations, ensuring robust financial governance, full statutory compliance, and accurate reporting from day one. As a strategic business partner to the leadership team, the Finance Manager will drive financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth, while building and mentoring a high-performing finance team to support the company's long-term success.
Main duties/responsibilities
· Design, implement, and maintain the company's accounting framework, internal controls, and financial policies in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and corporate reporting requirements.
· Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
· Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
· Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance matters, including GST, TDS, Income Tax filings, and other statutory remittances, ensuring zero delays or penalties.
· Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies, coordinating statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audit reviews.
· Oversee cash flow planning, working capital management, and banking relationships, optimizing fund utilization and liquidity.
· Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis, monitoring budget adherence and providing actionable financial insights to management.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial decision support, including project profitability analysis, cost optimization recommendations, and ROI evaluations.
· Develop and monitor key financial performance indicators, and prepare comprehensive reports and financial dashboards for senior leadership.
· Recruit, train, and manage the finance team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.

· Internal and External Financial reporting as per agreed timelines
· Budget adherence and financial forecasting with fair accuracy
Experience and knowledge required for the role
· Strong knowledge of corporate laws, financial regulations, governance, and regulatory frameworks
· Experience in liaising with regulatory authorities such as ROC, Income Tax, GST and relevant compliance bodies.
· Familiarity with corporate governance and financial principles and internal risk management frameworks.
· 12-14 years of experience in similar role in a privately held company.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
