About the Role
The Senior Associate / Lead - Scholarships will own the end-to-end implementation and monitoring of Bhumi's scholarships programme under the Ignite vertical. The programme provides financial assistance, mentoring, and skill-development support to children from underserved communities, working towards a larger vision: holistic education and sustainable livelihoods for 5,000 children by 2028. Primary Responsibilities
Manage the lead verification process for scholarship applications on the application management system, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Collaborate with CSR partners and foundations to understand their requirements and translate them into effective programme implementation.
Ensure timely disbursement of scholarships and share periodic feedback and impact reports with donors and partners.
Engage and coordinate volunteers across various stages of the scholarship process to increase the scale and reach of the programme.
Drive automation of verification and reporting workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities
Adapt and update the lead verification process in response to evolving guidelines from CSR partners and foundations.
Curate and deliver mentoring and skill-development opportunities for scholarship recipients - directly and through partnerships.
Build and nurture a community of current recipients and alumni of the scholarships programme.
Monitor the quality of programme implementation and provide structured feedback to team members and partners.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum two years of project management experience, preferably in the social sector.
Graduate or postgraduate degree; MBA or MSW preferred.
Prior fellowship or volunteering experience with a non-profit is an advantage.
Skills and Abilities
Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
Good written and verbal communication in English; Tamil proficiency is a plus.
Comfort with data - able to analyse and interpret programme data, with working knowledge of MS Excel.
Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with an eye for using technology and automation to improve processes.
Emotionally mature, with sound judgement and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Self-driven and collaborative - able to work independently while contributing actively to a team.
Other Details
Remuneration: Rs. 4 -5.5 LPA, based on profile and experience.
Expected Joining: Immediate.
Minimum Commitment: Two years.
