MOC Shipyard Pvt Ltd is a leading shipbuilder specializing in the design and construction of a variety of vessels. We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team and contribute to innovative ship designs and high-quality construction projects.
Position Summary: The Naval Architect will be responsible for designing and analyzing small types of marine vessels, ensuring they meet safety, stability, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create and develop 2D/3D CAD drawings, models, and layouts for ship structures, hulls, outfitting, piping, machinery, and electrical systems using AutoCAD software.
· Translate concepts and engineering requirements into production-ready drawings and technical specifications.
· Ensure all designs conform to classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register) and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., SOLAS, IMO).
· Prepare Stability Report and inclining experiment reports to classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register) and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., SOLAS, IMO).
· Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and design change processes.
· Coordinate with procurement and production departments to ensure material compatibility and manufacturability.
· Provide technical support during construction, outfitting, and commissioning phases of shipbuilding.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or related technical field.
· Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in small-type ship design or marine engineering, preferably in a shipyard or design office.
· Familiarity with international maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
· Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
