Role
Summary
The Datacenter & Storage, Backup Domain Lead is responsible for strategy, governance, and transformation across enterprise storage and data protection platforms spanning HPE, IBM, Dell, and Brocade environments. This role leads architecture governance, vendor management, service performance, and capability enhancement while ensuring alignment with business continuity, audit, and service level requirements.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage and backup domains • Proven experience leading infrastructure governance and vendor ecosystems • Strong track record of driving transformation and large-scale datacenter initiatives• Own the storage and backup domain roadmap aligned with business growth and disaster recovery strategy
- Drive standardization, modernization, and technology adoption initiatives
- Provide leadership visibility into risk, capacity, and service health Architecture and Solution Governance Lead the design and implementation of the following platforms and capabilities: o Enterprise storage platforms including HPE, IBM, and Dell o Backup solutions including HP Data Protector, Rubrik, and Veeam o SAN fabric platforms including Brocade
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and audit compliant
- Validate alignment with recovery objectives and data protection standards Vendor Governance and Performance Management
- Lead governance of OEMs and service partners
- Drive SLA and KPI adherence, root cause analysis quality, and accountability • Manage critical vendor escalations and performance reviews Service Excellence and Continuous Improvement • Drive continuous service improvement based on incident trends and audit findings • Own workload profiling, capacity planning, and bottleneck identification • Ensure optimization across performance, cost, and utilization Incident, Problem, and Risk Governance • Oversee incident and problem management quality, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and repeat issue prevention • Ensure backup services meet data integrity and recovery objectives • Proactively identify risks affecting availability, backup success, and recovery timelines Innovation, Proof of Concept, and Technology Evaluation • Lead proof of concepts for new technologies and solutions • Evaluate OEM offerings for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency • Drive adoption of next-generation storage and backup architectures Compliance and Audit Readiness • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, audit controls, and governance frameworks • Maintain SOP alignment, documentation, and audit evidence • Drive closure of audit observations through structured remediation
