We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting with audits and budgeting. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities
- Analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain and monitor the general ledger and ensure proper classification of transactions
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and analysis
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to automation initiatives
- Supervise or mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable)
- Prepare and file tax returns, sales tax, or other regulatory filings (as needed)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,
- Minimum 5-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
