Job Description: Mechatronics Engineering InternRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Mechatronics Engineering Intern to join our Engineering and Innovation division. This role offers real-world exposure to the complete lifecycle of smart product development—bridging the gap between mechanical structures, embedded systems, and intelligent automation. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering mentors to design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot automated machinery, robotics, or electro-mechanical products.Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Prototyping: Assist in building and assembling electro-mechanical and robotic prototypes, integrating structures, wiring harnesses, sensors, and actuators.
- CAD Modelling: Create and modify 3D CAD models, mechanical enclosures, and detailed 2D engineering drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Embedded Software: Write and debug foundational firmware (C/C++) for microcontrollers and hardware platforms.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct system-level testing, diagnostic checks, and hardware "smoke tests" to analyze system throughput and performance conformance.
- Schematics & PCB: Interpret electrical circuit schematics and assist in basic PCB layouts or manual component soldering.
- BOM & Vendor Tracking: Help manage Bills of Materials (BOM), source components, and maintain clear fabrication documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Academic Baseline: Foundational theoretical knowledge of robotics, control systems, and dynamics.
- Core Competency: Must possess a strong interest in physical system building, backed by academic or personal hobbyist projects (e.g., drones, IoT nodes, DIY robotics).
- Communication: Strong technical documentation and verbal reporting skills.
Technical Skill Preferences
- CAD Software: Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
- Hardware Platforms: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or STM32.
- Programming Languages: C/C++ (embedded firmware) and Python (scripting/testing).
- Industrial Automation: Basic conceptual exposure to PLC programming concepts (Ladder Logic).
- Fabrication Tools: Hands-on exposure to 3D printing (FDM/SLA), manual SMD soldering, and basic workshop tools.
What We Offer
- Direct Mentorship: Daily guidance from senior electrical, mechanical, and software professionals.
- Live Impact: Work on proprietary, real-world hardware deployment projects instead of simulated tasks.
- Career Fast-Track: High-performing interns will be strongly considered for Pre-Placement Offers (PPO) converting to full-time roles.
- Verification: Official Internship Certificate and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
