Senior Social Media Manager

We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to lead and elevate our social media presence across all key platforms. This role is central to shaping how our EdTech brand engages learners, parents, and educators online. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on doer who can analyse content performance, craft data-backed strategies, and lead high-impact campaigns that build brand awareness and drive measurable engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and gauge content performance across social platforms, using insights and analytics to continuously refine content quality, tone, and engagement strategy.
Develop and execute monthly and quarterly social media strategies aligned with brand goals, audience growth targets, and overall business priorities.
Create platform-specific content calendars (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms), tailoring format, tone, and cadence to each channel's audience behaviour.
Align social media campaigns with broader marketing objectives, ensuring consistency with product launches, admissions cycles, brand messaging, and performance marketing efforts.
Build brand awareness through innovative, creative campaigns that differentiate the platform in a competitive EdTech landscape and resonate with students, parents, and educators.
Collaborate closely with content, design, performance marketing, and product teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across all touchpoints.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and platform algorithm changes to keep strategies current and effective.
Manage, mentor, and guide junior social media executives, content creators, and external agency partners.
Own social media KPIs and reporting — track reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversion metrics, and present insights to leadership.
Oversee community management standards, ensuring timely and brand-appropriate responses to comments, messages, and reviews.
Manage social media budgets and vendor/agency relationships where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
5–8 years of proven experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or platform, ideally with EdTech, D2C, or consumer-tech exposure.
Strong track record of building and executing social media strategies that have driven measurable brand growth.
Hands-on experience with social media analytics and scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
Excellent content sense — an eye for what performs across formats (reels, carousels, shorts, static posts) and platforms.
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple calendars, campaigns, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Creative thinking paired with data-driven decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing or mentoring a small team is a plus.
