Business Acquisition: Travel
Job Summary
The Business Acquisition Executive/Manager – Travel is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and driving revenue growth within the travel and tourism sector. The role involves developing strategic partnerships with corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, hotels, airlines, and other travel-related stakeholders while achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities Business Development
- Identify and acquire new clients in the travel and tourism industry.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, and outbound sales.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop and execute business acquisition strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Explore new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with corporate clients and travel partners.
- Understand customer requirements and propose customized travel solutions.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Resolve client concerns in coordination with internal teams.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare business proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms.
- Upsell and cross-sell travel products and services.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when required.
Market Research
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Identify emerging business opportunities.
- Recommend new products, services, and pricing strategies.
Partnership Development
- Develop partnerships with:
- Corporate organizations
- Travel agencies
- Tour operators
- Hotels
- Airlines
- Destination Management Companies (DMCs)
- Event management companies
- Negotiate mutually beneficial commercial agreements.
Coordination
- Coordinate with operations, reservations, ticketing, finance, and customer support teams.
- Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
- Support successful delivery of travel services.
Reporting
- Maintain CRM records and sales documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Forecast revenue and business opportunities.
- Track conversion rates and sales performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or a related field.
- MBA (Sales/Marketing) is preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within the travel, tourism, hospitality, or airline industry.
- Experience in B2B sales and corporate travel solutions is preferred.
