We are urgently looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in steel fabrication and railway projects. The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of inspection processes, quality documentation, and railway standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspection of fabricated components
- Handle TPI (Third Party Inspection) activities
- Prepare and maintain Internal Check Sheets & Inspection Test Plans (ITP)
- Develop and follow Quality Assurance Plans (QAP)
- Inspect raw materials and ensure compliance with specifications
- Conduct and coordinate DP, UT, RT testing (basic knowledge required)
- Perform PDI (Pre-Dispatch Inspection)
- Verify dimensions using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with railway fabrication drawings and standards
- Maintain quality records and documentation
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in fabrication (Railway preferred)
- Knowledge of TPI, ITP, QAP documentation
- Understanding of NDT methods (DP, UT, RT)
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments
- Immediate joiners preferred
Preferred Candidate:
- Candidate from railway fabrication background
- Practical shop floor inspection experience
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
