Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer / Foreman will be responsible for supervising civil construction, maintenance, repair, and infrastructure activities within the FMCG manufacturing plant, warehouse, office premises, and other company facilities. The role includes ensuring quality work, timely completion of projects, safety compliance, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
- Supervise all civil construction and maintenance work at plant and warehouse locations.
- Plan and execute civil projects such as factory flooring, drainage systems, office renovation, storage areas, and utility structures.
- Prepare project estimates, BOQ (Bill of Quantity), and material requirements.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure work completion within deadlines.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality standards, and company policies.
- Inspect construction materials and workmanship quality.
- Maintain project reports, site records, and documentation.
- Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance related to civil infrastructure.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections related to infrastructure.
Foreman Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily labor and contractor activities at the site.
- Allocate work to workers and monitor productivity.
- Ensure proper execution of civil work as per drawings and instructions.
- Maintain discipline and safety practices at the workplace.
- Check attendance and work progress of labor teams.
- Coordinate with the Civil Engineer for material and manpower requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance work.
- Report daily work status and issues to management.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of civil construction and maintenance work.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards.
- Ability to read drawings and layouts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Problem-solving and team management abilities.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
Qualification:
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Civil Engineering (for Civil Engineer role)
- ITI / Diploma with relevant experience (for Foreman role)
Experience:
- 2–8 years of experience in FMCG, manufacturing, factory, warehouse, or industrial projects.
