Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Panel Wiring Technician to join our panel fabrication team. You will be responsible for wiring, assembling, and testing industrial control panels as per electrical drawings and schematics under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and single-line drawings
- Wire industrial control panels including MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, timers, and terminal blocks
- Mount and arrange components inside panels as per layout drawings
- Carry out cable harnessing, ferrule marking, and proper cable routing
- Connect PLC I/O wiring, power supply units, and HMI terminals
- Perform continuity checks, insulation resistance (IR) tests, and basic functional testing
- Identify and rectify wiring errors during testing and commissioning
- Maintain cleanliness and workmanship standards in panel assembly
- Coordinate with design and PLC programming teams for panel integration
- Follow safety procedures and electrical standards during all work
Required Skills
- Knowledge of electrical components: contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, ELCB, timers, limit switches
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring schematics
- Hands-on experience in cable ferrule marking and wire numbering
- Familiarity with DIN rail mounting, cable ducting, and panel layout
- Basic understanding of AC/DC circuits and control wiring
- Knowledge of earthing, shielding, and cable segregation practices
Good to Have
- Exposure to PLC panel wiring (Siemens / Mitsubishi / Allen Bradley / LS)
- Experience in wiring VFD / Servo drive panels
- Familiarity with IS / IEC panel wiring standards
- Prior experience in an industrial automation or SPM company
