We are looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter responsible for assembling pump components and ensuring proper fitting, alignment, and functionality of pumps as per technical specifications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and quality checks.
- Assemble pump components such as casing, impeller, shaft, bearings, seals, and motor parts
- Perform fitting, alignment, and tightening of components as per drawings
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Ensure proper clearance, tolerance, and alignment during assembly
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectively
- Conduct trial runs and basic testing of assembled pumps
- Identify and rectify assembly defects or mismatches
- Coordinate with machining and quality departments for smooth assembly process
- Maintain cleanliness and follow 5S practices in the assembly area
- Follow safety guidelines and use PPE at all times
- Strong knowledge of pump assembly and mechanical fitting
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Understanding of tolerances, fits, and alignment techniques
- Knowledge of bearings, seals, and coupling systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- ITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade or equivalent
- 2–5 years experience in pump or engineering industry
- Shop floor / assembly line environment
- Exposure to mechanical tools, noise, and heavy equipment
- Standing work for long hours
