About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive with experience in the architecture, interior design, and construction industry. The candidate should have a strong understanding of construction materials, interior finishes, vendor management, project procurement, and supply chain coordination. The role involves sourcing quality materials, managing vendors, maintaining procurement timelines, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing for multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for architectural, interior, and construction projects.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships, including onboarding new suppliers and maintaining a reliable vendor database.
- Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analysis, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing of procurement documentation.
- Coordinate procurement activities in line with project timelines, ensuring materials are available as per site and project schedules.
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, project managers, quantity surveyors, and site engineers to understand project requirements.
- Review BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and BOMs (Bill of Materials) to accurately procure materials as per project specifications.
- Ensure all procured materials comply with approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or delays.
- Track deliveries, resolve procurement-related issues, and ensure timely material dispatch to project sites.
- Research suppliers, and market trends to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize procurement strategies.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor performance reports, and cost analysis for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, budgets, and contractual obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of procurement experience in architecture, interiors, construction, contracting, or real estate.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and BOM (Bill of Materials) interpretation and procurement planning.
- Good understanding of construction materials, interior finishes, furniture, hardware, lighting, sanitaryware, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural materials.
- Experience in vendor management, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Ability to plan procurement based on project schedules and maintain procurement timelines.
- Understanding of architectural drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, ERP/Procurement software, and inventory management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings and architectural specifications.
- Existing network of vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers in the construction and interiors industry.
- Knowledge of local construction markets, pricing trends, and sourcing strategies.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and cost-estimation skills.
- Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
