Position : Electrical Billing engineer

The Electrical Billing Engineer acts as the primary financial and technical bridge between the onsite electrical execution team, subcontractors, and the accounts/finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate measurement, calculation, documentation, and certification of all electrical works executed on-site (such as cabling, sub-stations, transformers, panels, and lighting systems). This role ensures that all client and subcontractor billing aligns precisely with contractual terms, project blueprints, and approved budgets.
Roles and Responsibilities1. Bill Preparation & Processing
- Running Account (RA) & Final Bills: Prepare, review, and process monthly Running Account (RA) bills, advance bills, and final closeout bills for both clients and subcontractors based on actual site progress.
- Measurement Book (MB) Management: Record and verify detailed measurement sheets derived from physical site assessments and Good-For-Construction (GFC) electrical drawings.
- Certification: Audit and certify invoices submitted by electrical vendors and joint-venture sub-contractors for precision, eliminating arithmetic or structural errors.
2. Cost Control & Estimation
- BOQ Management: Analyze and maintain the Electrical Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Track quantities executed against the tender scope to forecast budget trends.
- Rate Analysis & Extra Items: Identify deviations from the original design, perform technical rate analysis for new/extra electrical items, and draft variation claims for client approval.
- Material Reconciliation: Prepare monthly material consumption statements comparing theoretical usage (per drawings) against actual physical stock issued (e.g., cables, conduits, switchgear) to control wastage.
3. Compliance, Liaison & Reporting
- Contract Adherence: Ensure all billing frameworks comply strictly with contract parameters, tax breakdowns (GST/Service taxes), and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Teams, and the Client’s Representative to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies early.
- MIS Reporting: Maintain an flawless digital archive of certified billing logs, cash-flow updates, variation approvals, and audit records for senior management review.
