Job Summary
Madhyamam is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our media team. The role involves editing news videos, interviews, social media content, promotional videos, and other digital content. The ideal candidate should have good storytelling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced media environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into engaging and professional videos.
- Edit news reports, interviews, event coverage, feature stories, and promotional content.
- Create short-form videos and reels for social media platforms.
- Add graphics, text, transitions, animations, sound effects, and background music.
- Perform basic color correction and audio enhancement.
- Create content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, websites, and other digital platforms.
- Coordinate with journalists, content creators, photographers, and the digital media team.
- Ensure videos are consistent with brand and editorial guidelines.
- Make revisions based on feedback and project requirements.
- Organize and maintain video files and editing assets.
- Keep up with current video editing and digital media trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Multimedia, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in video editing or a relevant portfolio.
- Experience in media, news, or digital content production is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Malayalam language proficiency is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software.
- Good storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
- Understanding of color correction, audio editing, and video production.
- Familiarity with social media video formats.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in news video editing, digital media, journalism, broadcast media, or content production.
- Experience creating short-form content for social media platforms.
Pay: From ₹180,000.00 per year
