Role- Production Supervisor – Heavy Sheet Metal Fabrication
Location: Jamshedpur
Experience: 5–10 Years
Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities in the heavy sheet metal fabrication shop.
- Plan and monitor manpower, machines, and materials to achieve production targets.
- Ensure fabrication and welding work is executed as per engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Supervise cutting, bending, fit-up, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores for smooth production flow.
- Maintain safety, discipline, and 5S on the shop floor.
- Monitor productivity, minimize rework, and ensure timely completion of jobs.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in welding processes such as MIG/MAG (GMAW)/ FCAW/ TIG (GTAW)/ ARC, with the ability to supervise welding quality and productivity.
- Good knowledge of heavy sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of quality standards, shop-floor safety, and production planning.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and ERP systems will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
