Job Summery
We are looking for a Manager – Learning and Development (L&D) to help our employees build the soft skills and competencies required for the business roles. In this role, you should be passionate about delivering behavioral and soft skills modules which help our employees learn and grow. Excellent communication and Presentation skills are essential. If you also have experience designing e-learning courses and managing budgets, we’d like to talk to you.
Role and Responsibilities
Set up learning and development ecosystem to prepare the project and Engineering teams for their current roles and build the next level of competence. Content to be delivered through a combination of in-person and virtual learning offerings (e-learning and virtual classrooms).
The role is expected to support the planning, preparation, and execution of various L&D programs and campaigns, including calendar scheduling, program hosting, material preparation, vendor discussion and shortlist and program and cost analysis.
The duties of this role will change in the same way but initial allocations and focus of the role are likely to be as follows:
Creating, modifying, customizing and maintaining training content with the aim of achieving business goals
Conceptualize and design behavioral programs across levels of employees, leadership building by calendarizing regular soft-skills sessions and management trainings
Work with line Managers across the team to determine areas of focus, gaps and upskilling and reskilling areas required by the business teams. Help managers develop their team members through career path.
Implement and suggest effective L&D communication plan and strategy to manage participants lifecycle (registration, cancelation, logistics and database management)
When required, be prepared to host virtual sessions from opening the sessions, welcoming the participants, introducing the presenters, and final closing. – Facilitation skills is a mandatory requirement.
Implementing and Operationalize the learning management system, its usage, reporting and maximize user learning
Design and structure e-learning courses, career plans, workshop
Competency framework & implementation
Vendor Management & Learning budget, Track budgets and negotiate contracts
Training related dashboards and MIS, maintaining employee records
Assess the impact of training on employee performance by having sustainment sessions after the training workshops
Liaise with external partners as needed for technical trainings. Gather feedback from trainees and trainers after each session
Experience and Expertise
Proven experience as an L&D Trainer, Behavioral Training Manager or similar roles
Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
Familiarity and usage with e-learning platforms and practices
Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
Hands-on experience organizing corporate training events
Knowledge of traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
MBA in HR or certification in Training or a related field is a must
10+ Years of experience in L&D function , curating, conceptualizing and transforming with the learning strategy
Desirable – Experience of at least 1 or 2 Years working as Manager.
