Position: Railway Structural Engineer
Experience: Minimum 5 Years
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Railway Structural Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the design, analysis, inspection, and execution of railway infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for structural engineering activities related to railway bridges, stations, viaducts, retaining walls, culverts, tunnels, and other rail-related structures. The role requires coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with railway standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Analysis
- Design and analyze railway infrastructure structures including bridges, ROBs (Road Over Bridges), RUBs (Road Under Bridges), station buildings, retaining walls, and culverts.
- Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical specifications.
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable railway codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Review and optimize structural designs for safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Technical Documentation
- Prepare structural drawings, design calculations, BOQs, and technical reports.
- Review engineering documents and construction drawings.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Prepare progress reports and engineering presentations.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with railway authorities, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
- Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
- Support approval processes and statutory submissions.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to railway engineering standards and safety regulations.
- Comply with Indian Railways, RDSO, Metro Rail, and IRC standards where applicable.
- Support risk assessments and structural safety evaluations.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in railway, metro, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in railway bridge design, station structures, viaducts, and allied infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Indian Railways, Metro Rail, RDSO, IRC, IS Codes, and international railway standards.
- Experience in design consultancy, EPC projects, or railway construction projects is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge
- Indian Railway Standards and Specifications.
- Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) guidelines.
- Indian Railways engineering standards.
- Metro rail and high-speed rail infrastructure projects.
- Structural health monitoring and asset management systems.
