Job Summary
The Store Officer is responsible for managing inventory, warehousing operations, receiving and dispatching imported and exported goods, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring compliance with customs, shipping, and company regulations. The role supports smooth import-export operations by ensuring timely handling, storage, and movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of products for export orders and domestic requirements.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
- Manage storage space efficiently to maximize utilization.
Receiving Imported Goods
- Receive imported materials and products from ports, airports, freight forwarders, or transporters.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and import documents.
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the concerned departments.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and update inventory systems.
Export Dispatch Management
- Coordinate picking, packing, labeling, and dispatch of export shipments.
- Ensure shipments are prepared according to customer specifications and export requirements.
- Verify export documentation before shipment dispatch.
- Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and transport agencies.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain records of:
- Packing Lists
- Commercial Invoices
- Delivery Challans
- GRNs
- Shipping Documents
- Inventory Reports
- Ensure proper filing and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support customs clearance and trade compliance activities by providing required inventory records.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, Shipping, and Finance departments.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, transporters, clearing agents, and customs brokers regarding material movement.
- Assist management in forecasting inventory requirements and shipment schedules.
Inventory Control
- Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices where applicable.
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, damaged, and obsolete inventory.
- Maintain stock accuracy and minimize inventory losses.
Safety & Security
- Ensure safe storage and handling of goods.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Follow company policies, safety standards, and security procedures.
- Ensure proper handling of high-value, fragile, or hazardous goods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certification in Warehouse Management, Inventory Control, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in warehouse, stores, logistics, or import-export operations.
- Experience handling import/export documentation and inventory systems preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of import-export procedures and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
