Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support testing and quality control activities in our Construction Material Testing Laboratory. The candidate will assist in conducting tests on construction materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, steel, and bitumen.
- Prepare, label, and maintain test samples as per laboratory procedures.
- Support engineers in conducting laboratory and field tests.
- Operate laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance and upkeep.
- Maintain test records, reports, and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping of the laboratory.
- Assist in calibration and verification of testing equipment.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and quality management systems.
- Coordinate sample receipt, storage, and disposal activities.
- Support site sample collection and field testing activities whenever required.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a Construction Material Testing Laboratory, Quality Control Laboratory, Infrastructure Project, RMC Plant, or related field.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and laboratory testing procedures.
- Understanding of IS Codes and quality control practices will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with concrete, soil, aggregate, cement, and steel testing.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
