Roles & Responsibility Overall supervision of day-to-day operation of ETP, STP, RO, MEE, and ZLD plants to ensure smooth and uninterrupted functioning. Monitor and control all treatment processes including screening, equalization, aeration, clarification, filtration, RO, evaporation, crystallization, and sludge handling. Ensure treated water quality meets PCB / CPCB / consent standards at all times. Conduct and verify regular testing of influent and effluent parameters such as pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, Oil & Grease, and other required parameters. Maintain and verify laboratory records, analysis reports, logbooks, and daily operational data. Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board regulations, consent conditions, and statutory requirements. Maintain plant records including logs, registers, chemical consumption, sludge disposal, and inspection records. Coordinate and support PCB, CPCB, ISO, and internal audits, and ensure timely closure of observations. Plan and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of pumps, blowers, motors, pipelines, valves, and dosing systems. Identify operational issues and take corrective and preventive actions to avoid plant breakdown or non-compliance. Manage and monitor chemical dosing systems (lime, alum, polymer, acids, nutrients, antiscalants, etc.) as per process requirement. Monitor chemical consumption, maintain inventory records, and raise chemical indents/requisitions in advance. Ensure safe storage, handling, and usage of chemicals as per safety norms and MSDS. Supervise operators and helpers, assign duties, and ensure proper shift management. Train plant staff on operation, safety procedures, emergency handling, and best practices. Monitor sludge generation, dewatering, drying, storage, and disposal through authorized vendors as per Hazardous Waste Rules. Ensure use of PPE, enforce safety procedures, and maintain a safe working environment in the plant. Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness, and discipline in the plant area. Monitor and optimize power, water recovery, and chemical usage to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. Suggest process improvements and modifications for better performance and cost efficiency. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and performance reports to management/client. Immediately report abnormalities, breakdowns, safety incidents, or noncompliance to management and take corrective action. Ensure to follow the SOP and strict adherence to all safety requirements in the waste water treatments.
