About RIDS
Rajasthan Integrated Development Society (RIDS) is a non-profit organization working towards sustainable development through initiatives in education, health, livelihoods, women empowerment, child rights, governance, and community development. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to strengthen our Finance & Accounts team.
Job Summary
The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining day-to-day accounting records, financial documentation, vouchers, and statutory records. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, MS Excel, and accounting software, with a willingness to learn and work in a professional NGO environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records.
- Record cash, bank, journal, and voucher entries.
- Prepare and maintain cash book and bank book.
- Verify bills, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Assist in bank reconciliation statements.
- Maintain proper filing of financial records and vouchers.
- Support preparation of financial reports and MIS.
- Assist during internal and statutory audits.
- Support GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliance work (where applicable).
- Coordinate with project teams for financial documentation.
- Perform any other finance-related work assigned by the Accounts Officer.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Tally Prime.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Good documentation and record management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience.
- Experience in NGO accounting will be an added advantage.
