Job Purpose
To manage the Regional Finance Office by ensuring accurate accounting, timely financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective internal controls, and efficient financial operations across all regional entities. The role is responsible for leading the finance team, standardizing finance processes, supporting business decisions through financial analysis, and ensuring all regional books are closed by the 4th working day with the consolidated MIS submitted by the 5th working day of every month.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing process for all regional entities.
- Review and approve journal entries, provisions, accruals, depreciation, payroll, and other closing adjustments.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports within the agreed timelines.
- Analyze financial results, identify key business trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
Regional Finance Management
- Oversee finance operations across Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, KSA, Qatar, and India.
- Monitor daily accounting activities and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Review regional financial reports and resolve accounting issues with regional teams.
- Ensure timely submission of sales, inventory, receivables, collections, bank, cash, and expense reports.
Treasury & Working Capital
- Review bank reconciliations, payment proposals, cheque payments, TT payments, and online bank transfers.
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory to optimize working capital.
- Review customer credit limits and monitor collection performance.
- Ensure supplier payments are processed in accordance with approved payment terms.
Financial Control & Compliance
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and resolve outstanding differences.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, including banks, suppliers, customers, advances, deposits, prepayments, fixed assets, and other control accounts.
- Review VAT returns and support statutory audits across regional entities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, company policies, SOPs, and Delegation of Authority (DOA).
Budgeting & Business Support
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze regional operating costs, profitability, inventory ageing, and business performance.
- Support management with financial analysis, feasibility studies, and decision-making reports.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Regional Finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Plan, allocate, and review work to ensure accuracy, productivity, and timely completion.
- Monitor individual performance and provide coaching and technical guidance.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
- Ensure adequate cross-training and succession planning within the finance function.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Standardize accounting procedures and reporting formats across all regional operations.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes through automation and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational and financial issues.
- Participate in finance projects and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Regional books closed by the 4th working day every month.
- Monthly MIS submitted by the 5th working day.
- Accurate and timely financial reporting with minimal audit observations.
- Timely completion of intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compliance with statutory, tax, and internal reporting requirements.
- Improvement in receivable collections, inventory ageing, and working capital.
- Effective budget monitoring and cost control.
- Achievement of departmental deadlines and service levels.
- Continuous improvement in finance processes and team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA - Finalist, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, including multi-country finance operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing a finance team.
- Experience in FMCG, trading, or distribution industries.
- Proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
