About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable Executive to join Oaklee Wellness Inc and our US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in AR follow-up, denial management, insurance verification, and prior authorization/referral processing, with a solid understanding of the US medical billing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with US insurance companies (payers) on outstanding and unpaid claims via calls, payer portals, and IVR.
- Analyze and work on aging reports across 30/60/90/120+ day buckets to reduce outstanding AR.
- Handle denial management — identify denial reasons, take corrective action, and re-submit or appeal claims.
- Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients prior to service.
- Obtain and process prior authorizations and referrals, and coordinate with providers and payers as needed.
- Review EOBs/ERAs to identify underpayments, short payments, and adjustments.
- Document all account activity accurately in the billing software as per client and process guidelines.
- Meet daily/weekly productivity and quality targets while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate with the coding and charge-entry teams to resolve claim discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in US Medical Billing / AR Follow-up (physician and/or hospital billing).
- Working knowledge of the RCM cycle: charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, denials, and AR.
- Experience with insurance verification (eligibility & benefits) and referral/authorization processes.
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes and standard denial codes (CARC/RARC).
- Understanding of major US payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance) and clearinghouses.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills (comfortable making payer calls).
- Proficiency with billing software (e.g., [your software – eClinicalWorks]) and MS Excel.
- Willingness to work in US/night shifts.
Preferred (Added Advantage)
- Prior experience specifically in authorization/referral and insurance verification workflows.
- Exposure to specialty billing (Primary care physician)
